My name is Roxanne and I am a Physical Therapist with 23 years of experience. My move to the Big Island happened in 2011. This was after visiting and finding out that there was (and still is) a need for medical professionals and I was offered a job. I graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff Arizona with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. During my career I have seen a need for a service to help people once they have used up their maximum medical benefits but still wanted or needed continued Wellness and/or Physical Therapy services. I also had patients that wanted to hire me directly to continue their wellness journey under supervision. Patients would frequently ask to hire me privately, but my schedule was extremely full and this was not an option. Now, in private practice, I can provide the one on one attention that every one deserves.
I have experience working in various settings including: Hospitals, Out Patient facilities, Inpatient Rehabilitation facilities, Skilled Nursing Home, and Home Health. I have worked with individuals who live in their own home, Care Homes, Independent Living Facilities, and Assisted Living Facilities.
I have provided individuals with instruction and training for: Aquatic exercise in the home setting, Development of a home gym with appropriate equipment, Development of exercise plans and progressions as appropriate.
Certified in LSVT BIG® for Parkinson’s Disease.

Certified Class Leader for Powerful Tools For Caregivers.
This is where the importance of working with one individual can make a difference. If you are seeing a different healthcare provider each time you go into the same office with the same problem, will they be able to recognize when there is a subtle change in your health? Often times the answer is simply, NO. Sometimes even severe changes go unchecked because the next person you see does not know what your baseline level of health was at the last visit.
When you are consistently working with one individual, they typically recognize when your condition changes for the better or for the worse. When problems are caught early they can be treated and hopefully minimize the risks of more severe problems.
I believe consistency in caring for your health is so important. This is why I will be with you from start to finish on your journey to achieve your goals.

Question: Do I need to have anything prepared before my first visit?
Answer: Have a list of goals you want to work towards or activities you want to be able to return to. Your initial evaluation will be when a plan is set for the goals that are important to you.
Question: What do I wear for my sessions?
Answer: Wear comfortable clothes that stretch and move with you.
Question: Will you teach my caregivers how to help me? What if I have multiple caregivers?
Answer: Yes, Definitely. We can create a plan to teach your caregivers as a group or separately how to safely assist you with reaching your goals.
Question: Do you take insurance?
Answer: I started this business so that insurance companies could not dictate what services you get or how long you are allowed to receive services. I do not bill your insurance. I do not accept insurance. I accept direct payment only.
